Targeting BYU Students for
Census Participation
June 6, 2000
To:

Editor,
As an alumni to BYU, I was disappointed to see the level of cooperation and
encouragement geared toward BYU students participating fully in Census 2000.
Yes, the Census is a Constitutionally mandated provision -- or at least a
certain element of the census is -- the head count.
But along with the U.S. becoming a more socialist state over the past two
centuries, especially in the past several decades, so has the census become
more and more a tool for socialist state building, providing statistical
information to increase government allocation of funds that fall far outside
the limited role that government was designed to play according to the
Constitution.
There is essentially one legitimate question in the census: "How many
people were living or staying in this house, apartment or mobile home on April
1, 2000?" and the reporting of the names of those individuals so as to
not duplicate entries.
Those are the only questions I answered.
All other questions fall outside of the original intent and are a product of
the socialist state that we are becoming. Socialism is Satan's kingdom now
being established on earth (and embraced, even by many elect LDS).
Having had leaders such as Moroni and Ezra Taft Benson in our legacy to
powerfully teach us true unchanging principles along these lines, there should
be no question among BYU students particularly and Latter-day Saints generally
on this matter.
Sincerely,
