v7 But behold, they are in the hands of the Lord of
the harvest, |
v4 Yea, whosoever will thrust in his sickle |
|
and they are his; |
and reap, |
|
and he will raise them up at the last day. |
the same is called of God. |
|
$ v8 Blessed be the
name of our God; |
a v5 Therefore, if you will ask of me
. . b you shall receive; |
|
$ let us sing to his praise, |
a if you will knock
. . b it shall be opened unto you. |
|
$ yea,
let us give thanks to his holy name, |
a v6 Now, as you have asked,
. . b behold, I say unto you, |
|
for he doth work righteousness forever. |
keep my commandments, |
|
v9 For if we had not come up out of the
land of Zarahemla, |
and seek to bring forth |
|
a these our dearly beloved brethren,
a who have so dearly beloved us,
. . b would still have been racked with hatred against us,
. . b yea, and they would also have been strangers to God.
|
and establish the cause of Zion. |
|
v10 And it came to pass that when Ammon had said these
words, his brother Aaron rebuked him, saying: Ammon, I fear that thy joy
doth carry thee away unto boasting. |
v7 Seek not for riches |
|
v11 But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my
own strength, nor in my own wisdom; |
but for wisdom; [See Msh 23:14.] |
|
but behold, my joy is full,
[See Alma 12:10 "...unto him is given to know
the mysteries of God until he know them in full."] |
and, behold, the mysteries of God shall
be unfolded unto you, |
|
yea, my heart is brim with joy, |
and then shall you be made rich. |
|
and I will rejoice in my God. |
Behold, he that hath eternal life is rich. |
|
a v12 Yea, I know that I am nothing;
a as to my strength I am weak;
. . b therefore I will not boast of myself,
. . b but I will boast of my God,
. . . . c for in his strength I can do all things;
|
v8 Verily, verily, I say unto you, even as you
desire of me so it shall be done unto you; |
|
yea, behold, many mighty miracles we
have wrought in this land, for which we will
praise his name forever. |
and if you desire, you shall be the means
of doing much good in this generation.
|
|
a v13 Behold, how many thousands of our brethren
. . b has he loosed from the pains of hell;
a and they
. . b are brought to sing redeeming love, |
v9 Say nothing but repentance unto this
generation. |
|
and this because of the power of his word
which is in us, |
a Keep my commandments,
. . b and assist
. . b to bring forth my work,
a according to my commandments, |
|
therefore have we not great reason to rejoice? |
and you shall be blessed. |
