Alma 26 D&C 11

a v35 Now have we not reason to rejoice?
a Yea, I say unto you, there never were men that had so great reason to rejoice as we, since the world began;
a yea, and my joy is carried away, even unto boasting in my God;
. . b for he has all power, all wisdom, and all understanding;
. . b he comprehendeth all things,
. . b and he is a merciful Being, even unto salvation, to those who will repent and believe on his name.

v28 Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

a v36 Now if this is boasting,
a even so will I boast;
. . b for this is my life and my light,
. . b my joy and my salvation,
. . b and my redemption from everlasting wo.

I am the life and the light of the world.

a Yea, blessed is the name of my God,
. . b who has been mindful
. . . . c of this people,
. . . . c who are a BRANCH of the tree of Israel,
. . . . . . b and has been lost from its body in a strange land;
a yea, I say, blessed be the name of my God,
. . b who has been mindful
. . . . c of us,
. . . . . . d wanderers in a strange land.

v29 I am the same who came unto mine own and mine own received me not;

. . [Isa.4:2; 60:21 "In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious..." ; Also Isa. 11:1...]

v37 Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in;

v30 But verily, verily, I say unto you, that as many as receive me,

yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth.

to them will I give power to become the sons of God,

$ Now this is my joy,
$ and my great thanksgiving;
$ yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever.

even to them that believe on my name.

Amen.

Amen.

Schopenhauer
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
