Book of Mormon Missionary Outreach in Missouri This Summer
Dear Brothers & Sisters, Lynn Ridenhour here, Independence.
Say, I want to give you a brief overview of something we're gearing up to
do this coming late summer and/or early fall. I'm talking about a missionary
outreach here in Zion. Specifically to non-restoration believers for the
purpose of exposing them to the Book of Mormon in a neutral setting. I
emphasize--neutral setting.
In fact, we're calling our launching ministry simply "Missionary
Outreach." Our intent is not to "start a church." Of course, we
are part of no denomination. We will merely, as believers, get together one
Sunday evening a month for praise & worship & sharing & ministry.
Our gatherings will be "Celebrations."
Book of Mormon lovers and "Bible believing" Christians everywhere
will be encouraged to congregate together in an atmosphere of praise &
worship. It's a Missionary Outreach here in Zion. We will use Ray Treat's
Restored Covenant Edition of the Book of Mormon. No particular group owns it.
We believe the potentials are limitless. True unthreatened dialogue and
fellowship can, and will more than likely, happen. The gifts and the fruit of
the Spirit will operate and be welcomed. Our gatherings will be charismatic in
style. Periodic roundtable discussions will occur; special out of town and
local guest speakers will share occasionally. The Body of Christ will be
uplifted.
Just something I wanted to share and for us all to pray about. We'll
probably start meeting in a storefront building somewhere in a strip mall on
291. I'll keep you informed as to time & place when we pin down dates and
location.
Of course, the invitation is open to all.
