Class 2: Balancing Male/Famale Energies

At 9:00 am this morning Venus is going to cross in front of the sun and it will take just over 6 hours to cross it. It is a type of eclipse. Some say it will take two or three days for the energy to reach us, but I have found that the energies hit fairly quickly lately.

The significance of the transit is well known but briefly Venus makes its ‘transit’ conjunction over the Sun about every 120 years so it is a relatively rare occurrence. The last pair of transits occurred in 1874 and 1882 and the next pair will take place in 2117 and 2125. The other Venus transit in this current pairing is 2012, the end of a great cycle in the Mayan calendar.

“Through Venus [the disciple] comes under the power of the mind, transmuted into wisdom through the instrumentality of love.” So it is Venus that unites heart and mind and which will “will usher in the long hoped for era of love-wisdom, of brotherhood and of expressed brotherly relationships”.

Some are saying that this is the true beginning of the Golden Age, where we are going to learn the true meaning of groups and brotherhood.

Venus is quite a planet if you study astrology at all and it’s relation to us esoterically. Venus is supposed to represent either desire on the lower tones or love on the higher tones. It also represents knowledge. So on the higher tones that knowledge becomes wisdom. It always portends great inventions of communication or leaps in consciousness that will enhance humanity. It is also a feminine energy planet, supposedly the most feminine of them all.

So today there is supposed to be a natural energy that will open us up to more feminine wisdom energy than we have seen in a long time. When it comes to telepathy and women, there have been many names throughout history used to describe women with this gift. Can you tell me what some of them are? (Prophetess, telepath, empath, sensitive, sorceress, soothsayer, seeress, sibyl, fortune teller, oracle, wise woman, witch, medium, psychic )

There is much talk in the scriptures of men’s power and the priesthood and little is said about women’s power and their priesthood. It is hard to know if it is because nothing was written about it or if most references to women were taken out of the Old and New Testaments. In the LDS church women used to heal and do many things of a “priesthood nature” that are no longer practiced. In the Old Testament we are told little of Miriam, Deborah, Huldah, and Anna who were all considered to be Prophetesses.

It is interesting that in the Strong Concordance the name Deborah means Oracle. It is also of note that Michelangelo painted Sibyls opposite the prophets. Sibyl means either a female prophet or a fortune teller. Fortune teller is reminiscent of soothsayer (telling the future or prophecy) which the Bible warns against. Prophetess, Oracle, Sibyl, Fortune teller and soothsayer all mean the same thing, to foretell something, some with positive connotation and some not. Today we might call them mediums. They all usually refer to women with a gift and it seems that it is not always received well.

The media today well knows the best way to suppress something is to call it something disdainful and let ridicule silence where nothing else will. Perhaps the male priesthood, the scribes of the Bible, is somewhat guilty of the same thing. It seems Joseph Smith was trying to right this by restoring women to their rightful place.

Female energy is referred to as negative, left, yang, receiving. Male energy is referred to as positive, right, yin, sending. How does this all relate to women today and those that have special gifts? How does it relate to the Venus Transit today?

I see a pattern in the story of Adam and Eve. They are given two commandments. They are at a stalemate and Eve sees the way out of it. Adam agrees with her and takes on the major physical load “by the sweat of his brow.” Eve points the way, and Adam figures out HOW and goes and does it. Each fulfills the measure of their creation as prophet and prophetess.

I envision females receiving revelation showing the way and men building upon that revelation by going to the Lord themselves to ascertain the best way to accomplish the goal. The woman receives from God and sends that message to her husband. The husband then goes to God for more particulars and receives it and sends that knowledge back to his mate. To an outsider, when they see something going on next door and the husband is leading out, they do not always realize the part the wife has led in pointing the correct path to take.

It doesn’t just happen with married couples. I see this pattern again with Renee Lee and David Allan. Renee received the way, the formula and David is working out the practical aspects of the formula. Neither gift is worth as much without the other.

Symbolically we see it when we raise the arm to the square: the vertical pointing to God and the horizontal plane of earth life. When we concur we are taking both aspects into account: revelation from the spiritual plane as to where we are going and the working out on the physical plane of the details.

Behind every successful man is a strong woman and behind every gifted woman is a strong man. We are living in times that require revelation and direction. We feel lost in the tension and crises that beset us each day. Instead of man feeling like he is not performing correctly when a woman receives revelation of a direction to go, acknowledge it is often the order of heaven, and receive it with gladness knowing you will be given further light on how to accomplish the thing the Lord has revealed.

Last week we talked about two types of telepathy. Can you remember what they were? (emotional or instinctual and mental) They each have their place and they each can be learned.

We are going to practice a little instinctual and mental telepathy. Pair up and the extra one will work with me. One of you will come up here and get an envelope after I’m finished explaining. One of you is going to be the sender and one of you is going to be the receiver.

It doesn’t matter if you fail horribly. It doesn’t matter if you fail for five or six weeks. The less you care about succeeding the more open you are going to be to the process. Some of you are ready immediately so the etheric web is going to let the information through. Some of you need to be readied in some way and it will take longer. It is all perfect.

It is like I told kids when I was a reading tutor, “When you are 25 years old no one is going to care if you learned to read at 4 yrs old or 8 yrs old. The important thing is to learn to read when your brain is ready and you WILL learn, so relax and have fun.”

This is fun. And you WILL get it when you are ready so don’t worry about it, be embarrassed about it or anything else. We are all different and will learn at different rates. In the long run, you WILL all learn so relax and have fun with it.

The other thing to realize is that you may do better with some people than others. So every week I want you paired up with someone else so you can learn who you work best with. You may be a better receiver or a better sender. It is all good.

Let’s take five breaths to the count of five before I finish the directions and after I finish relaxing you. So take a deep breath, hold it and let it out to the count of five. (Inhale 2 3 4 5; Hold 2 3 4 5; Exhale 2 3 4 5).

The sender is going to look at the picture and think of nothing else but the picture. We are going to think of four things. The first thing you will think of is the temperature. Is it hot, cold, tropical and muggy, freezing cold, or mild?? Write temperature on your card as a reminder. Then think of texture. Is it soft, rough, prickly, hard, slick, squishy, soft, pliable, firm and so forth. Next write texture on your reminder card. Third we are going to think of its color. What is the main color, the second major color. Any color striking or unusual? Write color on your cheat sheet. Last think of the picture and all the emotions it evokes. Would you be relaxed there? Would you feel claustrophobic? Would it bore you out of your mind? What emotions does this place evoke?

Think about sending the information to your partner through your solar plexus. Just feel it there and send the emotions and the rest. Concentrate for a full minute. Some find this process easier with their eyes closed. When you are done, say Done. Meanwhile the receiver tries to feel what the sender is sending and pick up on the picture. Have no thoughts; concentrate on your diaphragm area for one minute. When you hear your partner say “done,” quickly write the temperature, the texture, the color and any feelings and any pictures that might have come to you. Do not stop and think about this process just do it very quickly. When you are done writing have the sender show you the picture. Write down what words the sender was sending and compare. Then bring the envelope back up here and choose another one and switch roles.

Let’s prepare with five breaths to the count of five. So take a deep breath, hold it and let it out to the count of five. (Inhale 2 3 4 5 Hold 2 3 4 5 Exhale 2 3 4 5)
Ok let’s begin.

Describe for me how this went for you. It’s fun isn’t it? Whether you did really well or just sort of got it, you can feel that this is something that eventually you are going to be able to do. Now what kind of telepathy did we just experience? It depends on if the person sending did it more mentally or emotionally. Emotional telepathy is what kind? Instinctual, that’s right. Using the mind is Mental Telepathy.

I am going to send to you all through Mental Telepathy. Try and see what I am seeing. Try receiving it through your creative center, the throat. Some of you may be so used to using the solar plexus this may prove a bit challenging. Let’s see how we do. Just have fun with it. (Concentrate for one minute on the picture). Remember to keep your mind blank and just concentrate on your throat area and accept whatever comes into your mind.
When I say done, write down your impressions as quickly as you can without second guessing them. (Concentrate for one minute on the picture).

Discuss the picture and what they received.

Inhibitors to this experience: can anyone guess what would interfere with your ability to do something like this? (Criticism of person sending, criticizing self, negative self talk, not believing it will work, etc etc)

What you think about is a choice. You are either choosing something that will help this process or you are choosing to think something that will not. In order for maximum effectiveness we need to learn to control our astral/emotional bodies. So between 8 am and 9 am every day this week, I want you to be conscious of every negative thought you have whether it is towards yourself or towards someone else. I want you to write down the gist of the types of thoughts you had before you go to bed. Just take 3 minutes and jot it down. Some of you may prefer to do it right at 9 am, some of you may be too involved. So just before bed jot it down sometime.

If there is time do a meditation about male/female energies.
