David's Outcasts - http://www.GreaterThings.com/OpenForum/Davids_Outcasts.htm I always liked the quote in D&C 42:43 "And whosoever among you are sick, and have not faith to be healed, but believe, shall be nourished with all tenderness, with herbs and mild food, and that not by the hands of an enemy." First if faith healing doesn't work, use herbs by someone with good emotions flowing (tenderness) and not by an enemy (bad vibes). I find it fascinating all the reports coming out about how prayer works to help heal EVEN IF THE PATIENT DOESN'T KNOW he was prayed over. My mother's doctor a few months back after diagnosing her asked if she minded if they had a word of prayer. This was not an LDS doctor! It makes me ever so grateful for the prayer circles in the LDS temples, the prayer chains among protestants, and lighting of candles and prayer beads of the catholics etc. Stop and think for a moment. Why does prayer work and group prayer especially? I submit it is because prayers/thoughts are fourth dimensional creations that gather like to like and when it reaches critical mass it materializes into third dimension. I just received a good amount of money in the mail this week. I started praying for it (for a good cause) about 3.5 weeks ago. That is a rather material manifestation, but my heart was in the right place and somehow I just knew it would be. It is the same energy in faith healing. That is why I have asked us to pray over the serious maladies of our day so that we may heal even the most perverse twisted minds on the planet. I know we can do it. I am currently working on faith healing myself of many maladies including death. We renew our bodies completely every 7 years by creating new cells. Why not put new wine into a new body by completely renewing ourselves into a higher dimensional body? We may look no different to others except that we won't age at the same rate. Read Depak Chopra Quantum Healing and his other books for an MD's take on all of this. Thank you Lynn for another thoughtful essay. I woke up this morning and knew I had to write to DO about health. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that you already had received a similar nudge along with David Skousen and others. All of you thank you for recognizing that to be truly balanced spiritually we need good building blocks. I read something interesting the other day by an eastern master. He said that it did no good to eat high vibration food if there was no container capable of receiving it. He said it was like trying to put the ocean in a cup. We must first work at increasing our vibratory rates and then the high vibration food would have more effect. Thanks all. Susan
