God, Gold & Silver

Part I:  Gold

pp. 371 +/- in Greek, Hebrew and English

by Sterling D. Allan; Greater Things; October 23, 1997

Following a hunch (code: inspiration), having found that gold and God are on the same page (p. 371) of my Webster=s dictionary C which itself is very significant, as gold is code in the word studies for the female counterpart for God the Father C I was curious what would happen if I looked up that same page number in my Hebrew and Greek lexicons. First, I looked up page 371 in Gesenius, and to my astonishment, the definitions on that page had some forceful parallels to the definitions on the page with gold and God, including the word which means, Ato be,@ [I am]. I then looked at several pages following and saw that this phenomenon of parallel definitions continued to at least page 377. The probabilities of this sort of match-up happening without any kind of divine design are astronomical. I then turned to my favorite Greek lexicon, Zodhiates, starting at p. 371, which turns out to be right in the middle of the quintessential definition for Ato be!@ Below is a write-up of what I found.

Note: The Hebrew and Greek characters in the following document show up in Internet Explorer, but not in Netscape.  In Netscape, the language characters are replaced by ASCII characters.

Doctrinally, this baptism of the Holy Ghost is the necessary gate one enters in order to become anchored upon the rock of Jesus Christ, which is the only sure foundation. In the latter days, the entire world will undergo a literal/spiritual baptism of fire whereby it is cleansed and ushered into the paradisaical state that will characterize the millennium.]

Part II:  Silver

pp. 782 +/- in Greek, Hebrew and English

by Sterling D. Allan; Greater Things; October 23, 1997

After embarking on the above study (pages 370-377 of Webster, Gesenius, and Zodhiates), my curiosity was aroused as to what I might find in looking up the word Asilver@ [code for the male element of God: Father] and then look at the pages in the same manner as above. Again, this approach was astonishingly fruitful. After doing through p. 784, my curiosity [an angel=s favorite tool?] led me to see what was on page 784 of the LDS Bible Dictionary. The legend words on that page matched verbatim the primary words in the write-up I had done for 784. The earlier pages of the LDS Bible Dictionary (pp. 781-783) also correlate to the study in general, though not as specifically as on p. 784. Here is some of what I found.

Page / #

Webster's
(English)

Gesenius
(Hebrew)

Zodhiates
(Greek)

p.781 Of the 11 words on this page, six come from the root:

sign, That by which anything is made known or represented; anything visible [the word prior to sign is sight] that indicates the existence or approach of something else; a token, mark, indication; a miracle, wonder; any symbol or emblem.

Other words with this root:

signal; signatory; signature; signet; signify (significant)

Ironically, the last word on the page is:

silence, A refraining from making known something.

16 words on this page, including:

.*389 (7555) Thin plates. [for engraved writings]

889 (u.r.) To beat, pound, specially to spread out by beating, to make thin [indelible record keeping].

0&*:9 (7558) Permission, power.

;*:9 ("see 7225") [7225 Empire Dr., Boulder, CO = where I grew up] Beginning.

.:9 (7559) To write, commit to writing. Dan. 10:21 [:"But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince."]

9 words on this page, including:

3D4H, (2463), An iris or rainbow. After the flood, the rainbow was appointed by God as a sign to Noah and his descendants. [The next page (782) in Hebrew features "flame," signifying by analogy in this context the pending purging of the earth by fire, through which the righteous will be preserved, even as Noah and his family were saved.]

Speaking of signs, the previous word is:

4BB@H (2464), A horse. Deriv. (5376), Philip, a lover of horses. [See write-up about "heavenly humor" at the end of the "888 and Without Hands" document]

This links the current treatise with that very important one. The second link comes from the first word coming across the top of the page from the definition of the previous page.

Philologus [(5378), fond of words; lover of words; Webster's defines philology as "The study of language and literature; the study of languages in connection with the whole moral and intellectual action of the peoples using them; the study of classical languages."]

Sikh, One of an Indian community, half religious, half military [church (spiritual, pertaining to the first Messianic advent) and state (temporal, pertaining to the latter-day Messianic advent)]. 3:9 (7561-7564) To be unrighteous, wicked; to be guilty. To declare guilty, unrighteous, i.e. to condemn. [Ye are set to be a light to world (for church and state) but have become as salt that has lost its savor.] 3F""6, Isaak (2464), Isaac (derider, one who laughs). [Abraham, Isaac, Jacob: the Hebrew lineage chosen to be a light to all the world; bless all nations.]
#781 Side note (applicable in general): Page 781 of the LDS Bible Dictionary discusses the topics, Temple and Temple of Herod. The page begins with the following two sentences:

A place where the Lord may come, it is the most holy of any place of worship on the earth. Only the home [body, mind & spirit] can compare with the temple in sacredness.

[The obsession, ancient and modern, which the Lord's people have with forms of worship is a major causative factor for them overlooking that to which the forms point.]

779 99! To curse. ["The bands of her neck are the curses of God upon her, or the scattered remnants of Israel in their scattered condition among the Gentiles." (D&C 113:10.)]

780 )99!, Ararat, (The mountain [where] the ark of Noah rested.)

' 781 :9! To erect, to build [e.g. ark]. To espouse a woman [kingdom of God bridegroom imagery].

781 asophos Unwise, foolish, not walking as God expects one to walk. Syn. (801) [ = Utah area code], Unintelligent, unable to reason logically and arrive at proper conclusions. Ant. (4680), wise, able to know and regulate a relationship with God; (5429), prudent, sensible; (4908), intelligent, able to reason logically; (3524), discreet, sober, abstaining from the abuse of alcohol [fig. Compare Isa. 28:7]

' p.782 18 words on this page, including:

silhouette, A profile or shadow outline portrait.

' silver,

13 words on this page, including:

4:9 (7565), A flame; to burn, to kindle. [purify silver.]

: The letter :

[this page begins the section of the lexicon starting with this letter. The pronunciation of : in a Hebrew word would correspond to the "s" sound in English, including "si," as in silver.]

7 words on this page, including:

3F0µ4 (2467) (from eiso, the fut. Of eido (1492), to know). To confirm, know.

[Above, in the region of pp. 370-377 (gold/god write-up), three of these pages were of word 1097, which means "To know."]

3FN4 (2468) (pres. imper. 2nd person sing. of eimi (1510), to be) Be thou.

[Above, in the region of pp. 370-377 (gold/god), the first two of these pages were word 1096 which means "To be."]

  similar, Like

simile, The likening together of two things which, however different in other respects, have some strong points of resemblance; a poetic or imaginative comparison.

[on p. 781 of Websters is the word sigmoid, sigmoidal, "Curved like the letter sigma in its form C = S."]

j Note: This Hebrew letter sin (pronounced seen) is practically the same letter as shin (pronounced sheen).

[: equivalent in Greek is F/H sigma — the only Greek letter to have two symbols for the same letter, like /]

3F6"D4TJµH (2469) Iscariot. [opp.]

3F@J0H (2471) Likeness, equality.

3F@J4µ@H (2472) Equally precious

#782 [the first words coming across the top of page 781 from a definition ("sigh") on the previous page are:]

..to long for or wish ardently for

[Side note (applicable in general but not here necessarily): Page 782 of the LDS Bible Dictionary discusses the temple of Herod and of Solomon. One comment made which is of particular interest in the present study is as follows:

The Court of the Women was the scene of the Lord's temple teachings.

782 ;:9! Desire, longing. (From 781, to espouse a woman.) [Word 8669, which is the 4th to last (alph and omega) word in the lexicon, has this same definition.]

[Note that the last three letters of this word, ;:9 are word #7568 on p. 782, which is "pr. inf. {whatever that means} of the verb :9*", which is word #3423 on p.370 (in above "god/gold" set), which comes just after #3422, "denotes gold" &.]

782 aspazomai To embrace, to salute, trans. spoken of those who meet. (IV) By implication, to love, treat with affection. Syn. (5368), to love, be friendly, kiss, envelop with affection; (1723), to take in one's arms.

2 words on this page.
  sin

: (Cont.)

Gesenius' explanation of the letter : sin (seen) continues on the top of p. 783. [The letter : sin stands for "birth" or "bringing forth," which is very appropriate as it is the new birth (: sin) which redeems us from sin.]

!,": ("see 5443") [the context of word 5443 includes the above definitions (e.g. 5440, interweave; compare 7638 intertwine) as well as words such as:

3FD"08 Israel (2474), Israel. "Wrestler with God." (I) Generally used for the Israelites or the children of Israel. (II) The idea of privilege. (III) Jews. (IV) Later the term acquired a spiritual significance and was used metaphorically. This was due to the rejection of the gospel by the nation of Israel as such. Thus Paul differentiates between natural and spiritual descendants.

Again applicable:

(3FD"08 Israel (2474), Israel.)

  sing*

*[Across the bottom of each two pages of this dictionary is a pronunciation guide. One of the example words is "ng, sing". Another is "g, go," which word is on p. 370 (god/gold set above). Another is "ch, chain." Chains is the definition of words 7569, 7577 on p. 782 of Gesenus. Just before one of these is the word 7568, which gives a usage example: ;:9 %:3/, the first word of which (could be pronounced Messiah) means, "work," [the Father will work a work in that day], corresponding to another of the dictionary footnote pronunciation words: "j, job;" the idea of "in that day," being captured by another footnote word: "TH, then." Another footnote word is "th, thin," which is part of three definitions (7554,7555, u.r.) on p. 781 of Gesenius. Another is "pound," which is also part of one of the just-mentioned three definitions in Gesenius (889 u.r. after #7555). Also, speaking of "longing for," a set of three pronunciation guide words is: "m, met, hr." The first footnote example given is: "f~te," which word occurs immediately prior to father in this dictionary, which links to aleph, which corresponds to ox or "büll" which is another footnote word. Between "büll" and "pound" is "oil." The word Christos (5547)in Greek, means, "Annointed, a term used in the OT applied to everyone anointed with the holy oil; (II) Christ." Another interesting usage set, considering the astronomical probability of these words in these three languages lining up like this, is: "nÇte, not, möve. The last footnote usage example is "zh, azure." In the margins of my dictionary where the word "azure" is found, I had written, "Azusa" immediately following "azure." Azusa street is famous in the world of charismatics as being the site in California from whence the Pentecostal movement arose, which is known for their emphasis on receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and the speaking with tongues ("Tongues:" see word #1100Gr on p. 375 above) of angels (2 Ne. 32:2,3) as being a corollary experience evidencing that the baptism has been wrought.]

#783 [Side note (applicable in general): Page 783 of the LDS Bible Dictionary discusses the "Temple of Zerubbabel," noting its inferiority to the temple of Solomon for the lack, among other things, of "(1) the Ark of the Covenant; (2) the Shechinah [&] or manifestation of the glory of the Lord; (3) the Urim and the Thummim; (4) the holy fire upon the altar; (5) the spirit of prophecy."] 783 !;::(;9!, Artaxerxes Strong, powerful king or great warrior. The first definition, with its key word (singe) on the previous page is:

To burn slightly or superficially.

[Related to Hebrew definition of Brand, 181 $&!: "A wooden poker, so called from the fire being stirred with it." Significance: 2nd Messianic advent. [The message to the Gentiles: "The people of the Lord are they who wait for him, for they still wait for the coming of the Messiah." (2 Ne. 6:13) The message to the Jews is that they "need not look forward any more for a Messiah to come, [for he it is] who should be rejected of the Jews" (2 Ne. 25:18)]

9": (7664), Hope.

1 new word on this page, but mostly a continuation from the previous page:

[Zodhiates continues his discussion of Israel, speaking of the new covenant versus the old, the spiritual law versus the temporal. The spiritual law was enabled through the Messianic first advent; but the Jews were looking for a temporal fulfillment, which will be what is brought in the second advent, to those Gentiles who are focused on the first advent.]

#784 sinless, sinner, etc. see sin

[Comment: Because of looking beyond the mark, placing human expectations, which are full of folly, onto the plans of God, the Jews considered Jesus a sinner (against Torah — their interpretation anyway), working for Beelzebub; and they cast him out as a thing of naught and crucified him. Likewise, the Gentiles are poised to carry out a parallel infraction against their God as he sets his hand again the second time to recover his people. But like with the Jews' rejection of Christ, the Gentiles' rejection of the work of the Father among them will turn to the glory of God and the salvation of all mankind, both temporally and spiritually, bringing in the millennial reign.]

Schopenhauer
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
