Discovery Synchronicities
Upon looking up the Greek definition of word 2000, I was curious to see what
this word's derivative antonym word #804 meant. As I was sitting in a chair next
to my filing cabinet, I looked in the nearest slot to find a bookmark.
The first thing
I pulled out was an old check stub from (6/23) 1995. It was the last paycheck I
received when employed at the University of Arizona, Tucson, and had a note
written from the secretary, "Your final vacation pay." You can imagine
my amusement to see that the reference number was 999999. The account number was
0920000. (This reminds me of the credit card purchase reference number
given when I bought Zodhiates
lexicon in the first place. The clerk at His Place bookstore in
Provo commented how odd it was: 999999.)
Word 804 in my Greek
Lexicon has the following definition, in contrast to #2000, reflecting the
promise of the gospel to those who are built on the rock of Jesus Christ (see 3
Nephi 11:39).
| 804 asphals Firm, that which canot be thrown
down. Sure, steady, immovable; safe, secure from peril, certain. When
used in the neut. with the art. to, certainty, truth. |
I also noted with interest that word 804 is just three words
away from #801, which is the same number as the area code for Utah, Wasatch
Front, the Mormon capital of the world. They were set to be a light to the world
and the saviors of men (a thesis of this entire web site). Note its definition:
| 801 asunetos Without insight or
understanding, unintelligent, foolish. In Matt. 15:16, Christ
characterized Peter and the other disciples as being asunetoi,
since they were unable to reason out the practical application of His
parabolic teaching. |

& 801)
Where is the warning voice on this matter, for example, by those ordained to
be watchmen on the tower? (According to D&C 101:48, the latter-day watchmen
neglect to build a tower saying, "What need hath my lord of this tower,
seeing it is a time of peace.") Instead of warning, they say such
things as, "The future will be essentially the same as the past, only much
brighter and greatly enlarged," (Gordon B. Hinckley; Church News,
November 29, 1997), or merely, "Carry on," fulfilling
Isa. 56:12 which prophesies that the slumbering shepherds will say,
"Tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant."
Gratefully, the warning voice is not completely silent. In the latest LDS
General Conference (Oct. '98) President Hinckley somberly implored the saints to
get their financial affairs in order, in light of economic turmoil brewing in
the world, though he hasn't ever officially mentioned Y2K (to my knowledge).
Concerning this silence, the following e-mail message captures what I and
many others have observed because of this silence from the LDS Brethren.
"I've been trying to warn friends and family about possible Y2K
problems and they just stare at me blankly like I've lost my mind. I get the
comments that if there were really a problem the Brethren would tell us. Well,
I have news for them...." (Jeanette S.; 12/8/98)
Word 804 in Hebrew
means "Assyria." Isaiah presents Assyria
as one of the metaphors for a modern dictatorial, militaristic empire that comes
slamming upon the people unexpectedly, establishing world hegemony. (See "Assyrian
Assault" section in The Vision of All; and the "Assyrian
Assault Scriptures appendix.") Consider the following prophecy in light
of new year's eve, for example, (Isaiah 21:5-6,8-9; New Translation,
Avraham Gileadi).
"My mind reels, I am paralyzed with fear;
the nightfall I longed for has become a horror to me:
They prepare tables;
they deck them with candlesticks.
They are eating and drinking . . .
Mobilize, you commanders! Oil the armor
"Then the lookout cried,
I have been standing on the watchtower
day in and day out, my Lord;
night after night I have stood guard.
Now they come: calvary and teams of horses!
And he gave the reply,
She has fallen; Babylon has fallen.
All her idol gods he has razed to the ground."
Page 804 of Zodhiates New Testament Greek
Lexicon
Page 804 of Zodhiates has the word that means
"New" (2537 ). This is a significant coincidence because this Y2K bug
happens when the clocks roll over in the new millennium. Also, in
conjunction with the chaos of Babylon the Great as she topples as prophesied,
will come the arising of God's kingdom on earth, the new heaven and new earth.
Though they will not be simultaneous, we do have something wonderful to look
forward to if we place our trust in God.
Page 804 of Gesenius' Old Testament Hebrew
Lexicon
Having "coincidentally" discovered this correlation with page
804 on new years day (1/1/98), I became curious as to whether or not
page 804 of Gesenius
would have anything of relevance to the idea of the rollover into the year 2000.
It turns out that every word definition applies, both to the destruction by the
millenial bug error as well as looking toward the new world of God's saints that
will rise as a Pheonix from these ashes from the arm of flesh. My comments are
added in [brackets]. *I have supplemented Gesenius' definitions with definitions
by James Strong (3).
| 7670 (1) a breaking; (2) destruction; *rupture, i.e. a pang.
7671 *ruins
7672 To perplex, to disturb; *To intangle: -- be astonished.
7673 shabath [the millennial Sabbath of the
Lord, the 7,000 era] (1) To rest, to keep as a day of rest; (2)
to cease, to desist, leave off, to have an end; (3) to celebrate the
sabbath; [4] to cause a work to cease, i.e. to interrupt; to restrain,
to still; [5] to cause to cease (b) to put an end to; [6] to remove, to
take away.
7674 shebeth (1) Cessation, a ceasing; hence idleness,
inactivity; (2) interruption of work, time lost.
7675 Session [e.g. stock market; bank transactions]
7676 shabbath (1) Sabbath, the seventh day of the week;
*intermission.
7677 a great sabbath, a solemn sabbath [e.g.
millennium.]; *special holiday.
7678 "born on the sabbath"
7681 Wandering [When computer sees 00, it locks up or
performs some unrelated task].
7683 (1) To wander, to go astray; (2) to err by imprudence, to commit
a fault. [Not alerting to the problem soon enough to
evoke remedy.]
7684 Error, fault, committed through inadvertence
[e.g. millennial bug]
7686 (1) To wander, to go astray; (2) to reel through wine [(1) computer error generated by clock error; (2) new year's
celebration; (3) the blindness of a people who trust in the arm of
flesh]. |
If it turns out that this Y2K bug wreaks as much disruption of the global
economy as predicted by professionals working on the problem, one can see how
this could bring fulfilment to scriptural prophecies such as in Revelation 17,
18. Whatever the cause, Mystery Babylon is going to topple in one hour,
according to prophecy.
Consider the irony of this happening in conjunction with our celebration of
the new year, the new century, the new millennium a time that tradition will
call for deep drunkenness. Has it not been our spiritual drunkenness that has
caused us to place so much reliance on man in the first place? Each year, as our
culture celebrates the end of the old and the coming in of the new, their
drunkenness at the time of this transition has served to foreshadow their
blindness regarding the eventual destruction of their supposed greatness and
success based on the arm of flesh and the coming in of a better world through
Christ. Surely such a disaster would never come if our collective trust was in
the Lord in the first place. And that is precisely what will be illustrated in
the millennium of peace that will follow (not many years after the cleansing
destructions), when those who remain will have finally turned to the Lord. He
will be their God, and they will be His people. Hallelujah for the millennial
bug! ?

Web & Highway in Hebrew
As another witness to the Lord's foreknowledge in these messages hidden in
ancient revealed texts, the word immediately after "web" (4545 ) in
Hebrew means, "highway" (4546 ). Further proving a foreknowing God's
intention in this connection, the three words previous to the word for net
mean, "poor, wretched," (4542 ); "storehouses, granaries, "
(4543 ); and "poverty, misery," (4544 ). Capturing the idea of
worshiping or relying upon the works of our own hands, that which our fingers
have made, the word prior has both the meaning, "(1) the casting of metals,
the cast images of gods, specially a molten image" and "(2) a
league" (4541 ), i.e. New World Order. Strengthening this image, word 4536
() means, "traffic, merchandise;" and word 4537 () means, "to
mix, to mingle." Then, revealing the fact of secret intrigues in these
leagues, words 4539, 4540, and 4541, mingled between these definitions, all
mean, "a covering."
HTTP in Hebrew
[3/6/98] The translitteration of "http" (the root of most web page
URLs) into Hebrew is chet, taw, taw, peh. Four words in the
Lexicon come close to this spelling. Three (2865-2867) are equivalent to
"htt" with the spelling, chet, taw, taw. Word 2865 in
Gesenius means,
| (1) to break; (2) to be broken, specially to be broken down with fear,
to be confounded. ; [3] to frighten, put to shame." |
James strong gives the definition:
| to prostrate; hence to break down, either by violence or by confusion
and fear: -- abolish, affright, make afraid, amaze, beat down,
discourage, dismay, go down, scare, terrify. |
For words 2866 and 2877, Gesenius renders them to mean, simply,
"terror." James Strong adds, "dismay: -- casting
down."
The other word in the Hebrew lexicon that comes closest to a transliteration
to "http" is spelled, het, taw, taw, which is word number
2050, and means,
| To break upon, to rush upon. |
It comes immediately before the vaw section of the lexicon. Vaw
in Rabinnic tradition has the signification of making a covenant (4). In this context, I think
of how man has made a covenant with death by placing their trust in the arm of
flesh, but that as Babylon comes crashing down, many of God's children will be
likely to finally make a new covenant with God. "My law I will write
in their hearts, I will be their God, and they, my people" (Jer. 31:33),
for with their broken heart, he will be able bestow a mighty change of heart
through the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
www in Hebrew = 666
Finally, (as someone pointed out) www is the equivalent of vaw, vaw,
vaw in Hebrew, and vaw is the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet
and represents six in their numbering, www is equivalent to
"666." Six is the number of man, and 666 represents carnal man
at his zenith of prowess, which is soon to be brought to naught. What more
perfect way to show man his folly than through such a tiny thing as a computer
clock! If he would but turn to God, acknowledge him, and repent, such
folly could be gloriously remedied. Ironically, almost as an antedote to
the name and number of the beast, the 666th chapter of the Bible begins, "a
good name is more precious than ointment" (Eccl. 7:1).
The 777th chapter in the Bible is Jeremiah 32,
which includes the following verses:
"Behold, I will gather them out of all countries,
whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath;
and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause
them to dwell safely: and they shall be my people, and
I will be their God: and I will give them one heart,
and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the
good of them, and of their children after them: and I will
make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away
from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their
hearts, that they shall not depart from me." (Jer.
32:37-40.)
As for me, I prefer to fear God and repent now, for the peace it brings.
